Edward
L. Faunce
Graduated from the University of Kansas in 1961, with a
Bachelor of Science in Education and in 1965, Master of
Science in Education (Chemistry). Then completed all course
work for PhD in organic chemistry before switching to law
school. Graduated from UCLA School of Law, Juris Doctor
in 1968.
Edward was admitted to California Bar in February 1969
and served as an associate attorney with Lemaire, Mohi,
Morales & Dumas from 1969 to 1971. Became one of the
founding partners of Faunce, Singer, Oatman & Woodson
in 1971. Member of the California Applicants Attorneys
Association; the California Employment Lawyers Association,
and the American Bar Association.
Serving as General Counsel to various public employee organizations
from 1971 to 1981, Ed participated in numerous public employee
labor cases. Since 1981, he, and his law firm, have represented
thousands of public employees in disability retirement
cases before numerous County Employees' Retirement Systems,
California Public Employees' Retirement System, and individual
City retirement systems such as Los Angeles and San Diego. |

Mark Ellis Singer, Esq.
Graduated the University of California Santa Cruz, Cowell College, in 1971,
with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. Graduated University of Southern California
Gould School of Law in 1974. Member: American Bar Association, Los Angeles
County Bar Association. Mark has helped thousands of California employees
have a better quality of life by winning their disability pension cases
at all levels; at Retirement Board meetings, administrative hearings, superior
court, courts of appeal, and the California Supreme Court.
Mark has represented disability applicants before County Retirement Boards
and before CalPERS hearing officers throughout the State of California.
He has also won many labor cases before the courts and administrative tribunals
throughout California. Mark believes in communicating with his clients
and actively involving them in the processing of their cases. |

Jane Oatman
Graduated with honors from the California State University at Long Beach
in 1987, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Graduated Southwestern
University School of Law, Juris Doctor in 1992. Admitted to the California
Bar in 1992.
Jane enjoys a statewide reputation for successfully representing public
employees in disability retirement matters with particular emphasis on
litigation. She has represented hundreds of public employees over the years
before both County Employees’ Retirement Systems across the State
and the California Public Employees’ Retirement System. She has also
practiced workers’ compensation law representing both employers and
employees. However, her practice for over a decade has been exclusively
devoted to representing public employees in disability retirement matters.
She is also actively engaged in the management of the law practice. She
is a member of the California Bar Association, the North San Diego County
Bar Association, and the California Applicant’s Attorneys Association.

William
N. Woodson III
Mr. Woodson is a graduate of Stanford University, class
of 1972, and Golden Gate University School of Law, class
of 1976. He has focused his practice on litigation matters
since becoming an attorney in December 1976.
Mr. Woodson has successfully tried numerous jury trials,
including race, sex, and age discrimination, retaliation,
wrongful termination in violation of public policy,
and sexual harassment cases, several resulting in substantial
verdicts.
Mr. Woodsonís current focus remains on litigation,
with a specific emphasis on disability discrimination,
failure to accommodate, failure to engage in the interactive
process, and retaliation cases.
Mr. Woodson and his wife Sue live in Fallbrook, California.
They have two grown children, Heather Cleary of Austin
Texas, and Bill Woodson, IV, of Vista California.
Mr. Woodson is active in The Fields Church, a non denominational
church in Carlsbad, California. |
