After practicing law for 42 years Mark retired March 31, 2017, and we wish him the very best in his new adventures. Ed has a Bachelors degree in Education and a Masters degree in Chemistry, but after completing all course work for his PhD in organic chemistry, he switched his focus to Law. A few years after graduating from UCLA with his Law degree he became one of the founding partners of Faunce, Singer & Oatman. Ed is a member of the California Applicants Attorneys Association; the California Employment Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
Ed has served as General Counsel to various public employee organizations and has participated in numerous public employee labor cases. Over the years he, and his law firm, have represented thousands of public employees in their disability retirement cases. Appearing before numerous County Employees' Retirement Systems, California Public Employees' Retirement System and individual City retirement systems like Los Angeles and San Diego.
Jane is the managing partner at Faunce, Singer & Oatman. For the past 25 years she has enjoyed an excellent reputation for her litigation of hundreds of California state, county and city employees disability pension matters including Peace Officers and Firefighters across the State. Her career has been devoted to helping workers seek justice in the workplace. She has experience representing employees in many employment areas including in Fair Employment and Housing Act cases for disability, race, gender discrimination as well as sexual harassment cases. Jane has a commitment to helping those in need. Jane is very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of employees rights in the workplace but her primary practice is devoted to disability pension matters. Jane received her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University, School of Law and is a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming. Jane also represents persons with disabilities pursuing a return to work with reasonable accommodation. Jane is a member of the California Bar association and California Applicant's Attorneys Association. In her spare time, Jane has the pleasure of sitting on several non-profit boards and enjoys time with her family and horses.
